formspring.me

why is Sarah M. Dozier so in love with you? :)
Because a couple of years ago, we time-traveled and discovered our true identities. We are the reincarnates of the Egyptian Goddesses Sekhmet and Bastet! Therefore, we are both sisters, and eternally in love with each other! Which is why we spend so much time frolicking, cooking, eating, watching foreign films, and visiting museums (whenever we can, that is)!! Oh, and did I mention we're soul mates? :D

What was the happiest moment in your life?
When Kyle told me he loved me...I knew that I loved him, and I knew he loved me, but hearing it for the first time, was beautiful...and the way he said it, no three words had ever been spoken so softly, lovingly, timidly, and yet passionately.

Ready Sety Go!

I want to be a Roller-Derby girl so bad!!!

It all started with Whip It! (the adorable movie starring Ellen Page, directed by Drew Barrymore Cameron Diaz)

And now, it's become a possible reality! There is the Rat City Girls, Seattle's Roller-Derby Girl League! They are hosting try-outs this Saturday...but you have to be 21 to join. Then there are the Tilted Thunder Rail Girls who are a new league currently being formed...they're doing banked track games as opposed to flat track races...but they're in the process of building their track. Well, in the process of raising money to build their track.

So here's my plan:
  1. work-out/become relatively good at skating.
  2. join the PMF practice squad
  3. attempt to join either the Rat City Girls or the Tilted Thunder Rail Girls.
  4. if all else fails, attempt to join the Jet City Bombers (they're located in Everett)
  5. come up with a badass/cool nickname
Joining the Tilted Thunder Rail Girls would be super cool...especially considering they'll be the very first banked derby league...and since they're still in the process of getting up and going, I could be a part of one of the very first teams! :)  I'll keep you posted...but for now, think positive thoughts and wish me luck!

If you wanna check out some of the coolness go here

Google Voice

So, I created a Google Voice account to create a phone number with a normal Seattle area code, and I have it forward to my cell phone. That way I can keep both of my phone numbers :)  A second nice perk is that Google Voice takes voice mails from both numbers, transcribes them, texts them, and emails the transcription to me. Normal it's pretty good with the transcribing. But to be honest, my friend Claire talks either too fast/rambles a little too much, so it normally messes hers up just a little bit. However, last night she left me a slightly drunken message, making the transcription hilarious! I just HAD to share :)

"Hey it's daddy. It's, Claire give me so long to call you back and I love busy with glimpse of. I know that's kinda related you also. Sorry I'm a little drunk right now, but it marking back to my apartment on my cellphone. I thought I'd call and say hi to you in Thailand. I miss you guys. I love you guys and Hey Mindy tomorrow if you we'd like to see if role homework and stuff, but if you can call you guys back Monday night. Yeah, hopefully that works so sorry for taking so long to get back to you an awful but I love you guys so much. I hope. Seattle's treating you well and I can't wait to talk to you both and if you all your updates. Yeah, sorry. Really job. If you get this. Bye."

The Phone Call

Scene: the living room, we're taking an afternoon nap before completely being engulfed by school work...when the phone rings.

I look at my phone, the number says "with held", normally I wouldn't answer a number I don't recognize, but for some reason I did. Maybe it's because I've been applying to a lot of jobs, and I would've kicked myself if I missed a call from a potential employer. Here's the conversation:

Me: "Hello?"
Unrecognizable Male Voice: "Hi"
Me:"Hi..."
UMV: "You sound sad, is everything ok?"
Me: (slightly taken aback by the question) "What? Uh, yeah, I'm fine."
UMV: "Are you sure? You sound like something's wrong..."
Me: "Oh, uh, no." (trying to figure out who it is, because I can almost place the voice...)
UMV: "Oh, ok. Well, Happy 7 Month Anniversary"
-awkward pause-
Me: "Oh, um, I think you have the wrong number, who is this?"
UMV: "Ryan?"
Me: "Yeah...you have the wrong number, sorry."
UMV: "Oh..." (hangs up, just as I realize he might be Sahar's Ryan)

Me (to Kyle): "That was really weird...but I think it might have been Sahar's boyfriend."

(Phone Rings)

Me: "Hello?"
Ryan: "Who is this?"
Me: "Is this Sahar's Ryan??"
Ryan: "Yeah?"
Me: (laugh) "This is Sety!"
Ryan: "What? Do you have her phone or something?"
Me: "No! This is so weird, are you sure you're calling the right number?"
Ryan: "Yeah, I don't even have your phone number! Are you guys messing with me?!"
Me: "No! No, no! I'm in Seattle! I'm not even in San Diego! Haha, you should just call her on the house phone..."

{Story Short: My sister's phone calls are being forwarded to my phone for some unknown reason...it's been quite hilarious.}

Rumpus!

Rumpus!

Let me start by first stating how extremely excited I am for Where the Wild Things Are! I recently found out that Karen O. (of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs) composed all the music for the movie, and now I'm doubly excited! Rumpus is an example off of the soundtrack, which I hope to own very soon. Though, I'm sure you've all heard at least bits and pieces of All Is Love! I've browsed the songs and adore them all :) Hideaway is definitely a favorite.

So, anyway, I have made a full recovery from the sore throat I've had the past few days, and it is nice to be able to swallow without being in pain! Though this has set me back on blogging/communication/homework...so of the 3 I choose to blog, haha.

So let me sum up today:

After waking up from a crazy dream, Kyle and I decided to make Scrambled Eggs for breakfast. Well, Kyle made Scrambled Eggs, I took out trash/recycling/picked up the mail. While downstairs, a neighbor who I pissed off last week almost ran me over with her car while backing into a spot extremely quickly (on purpose? I think so!). Once I had returned from my near-death experience, Kyle was just finished making the eggs and the milkshake. I told him what happened and washed my hands, he decided he didn't want cold ketchup ruining our breakfast and microwaved the bottle for 15 mins. Yes, that deformed, bubbled double dome bottle is our ketchup bottle now. We then watched the Office until Netflix decided to force us to do homework.
And now we're doing homework...aka I'm writing on this, Kyle's looking at movie times (we're going to see Capitalism: A Love Story tomorrow)
